Your eligibility to salary package the Everyday Purchases Card will depend on:
- Your employer’s industry sector (only Rebatable, Public Health and Charitable employers
are eligible);
- Your employer’s salary packaging policy;
- Your personal financial circumstances.
Your Everyday Purchases Card can be used worldwide as almost any merchant or supplier that accepts payment via Mastercard® credit card. For example, a supermarket or retails shop.
The savings and advantages you can achieve through salary packaging the Expense
Payment Card will vary according to your employer’s FBT status, and your personal

You can check your balance via any of the following methods:
You may request a secondary plastic Everyday Purchases Card for additional users (eg. spouse or partner). All additional cardholders
must be at least 16 years old. Please note, an Additional Cardholder Fee of $2.50 per month per benefit will apply for each
additional card. This fee will be included within your salary deductions and billed to your salary package on a per paycycle basis.
To request an additional card, please contact Southgate on 1300 132 500.
You should refer to your employer's Salary Packaging Handbook for Employees to confirm any other fees that may apply for
provision of the
Everyday Purchases Card fringe benefit.
Please note, some merchants may impose a surcharge for paying via Mastercard. Also, additional fees or charges may apply to
foreign currency transactions or purchases where the merchant is located outside of Australia (as outlined in the Product
Disclosure Statement). Where applicable, such fees or charges will be deducted from your card balance along with the
transaction value.
There is a $5,000 daily spending limit on your Everyday Purchases Card benefit. Transactions are also limited to your
balance of available funds accrued on the card benefit at the time of the transaction.
Any unspent funds each paycycle will accrue towards your Everyday Purchases Card for
future use, as and when you use the card for expense payments.
At the end of each FBT Year (31st March) any remaining funds in your card account
are rolled over for use in the following FBT Year. Where any funds are rolled over
into the new FBT Year, your regular salary deductions towards the Expense Payment
Card will be reduced accordingly to take into account your remaining available FBT
Concession Cap. FBT and Cap usage is calculated on your actual card expenditure
each FBT Year.
